Holography - It is a technique that allows capturing the three-dimensional images recording patterns of lightwave/object.
- Holography helped for research into improving the electron microscope.
We all had played with Hologram pyramid once in our life, if not you should.
By the principle, each side projects the image falling on it to the center of the pyramid. These projections work in unison to form a complete model, which creates a 3D illusion.
It lay-out a basic detail about hologram and holographic images.

Most common types of holograms:
There are various types of holograms, classified differently concerning their way of capturing, recording, thickness etc.
Transmission hologram: They are formed when the light from the object and the reference beam enters the recording material from the same side.
Reflection hologram: They are viewed with the light source on the same side as the viewer. In comparison to a transmission hologram, the recording of a reflection hologram requires 10 to 100 times more power.
Embossed hologram: The pattern is embossed on a metal stamp and then imprinted on layers of foils. Basically, observed in security purposes like a credit card, etc.
Rainbow hologram: A single image appears in different colors when observed from different angles. Rainbow holograms are made by a double holographic process
Computer hologram: Using mathematical concepts, the interference pattern the hologram is summarized by a computer.
Stereogram: It is a type of hologram that reconstructs a 3-D image from a series of 2-D views of an object recorded from different angles.
