What & Where is Yelahanka?

Yelahanka is a suburb of Bengaluru (Bangalore) city in the state of Karnataka, India.

Yelahanka lies to the north of Bengaluru.

It is older than the Bengaluru (Bangalore) city, which has now overgrown engulfing a significant number of its neighboring villages and towns.

Project Description:

The State government on Wednesday (12th May) approved nine projects with a total investment of ₹13,487 crores.

The approval of this investment came from the State High-Level Clearance Committee chaired by Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Wednesday (12th May). 

They are expected to generate job opportunities for significantly 6,256 people.

A release said that of the total investment proposal sanctioned on Wednesday, ₹13,174 crores pertains to fresh investments.

This investment approved of ₹4,042-crores is integrated for the township at Yelahanka, which is being developed by Rasasri Tech Park Ltd.

Other core investments include ₹892 crores to produce liquid oxygen, gaseous oxygen, liquid nitrogen, gaseous nitrogen, and liquid argon for the elevation of an area of 8.27 acres in the Ballari district.
